Upcoming work – week commencing Monday 1 July 2024

Key activities

  • Removal of any existing street furniture within the worksite, including existing umbrellas.
  • Installing worksite perimeter fencing and signage.
  • Service location requiring core drilling/pot holing and hydro excavation.
  • Demolition of asphalt concrete layer and excavating to formation level – high impact works.
  • Demolition of existing kerbs – high impact works.

Equipment may include:

  • Mobile cranes, sampling equipment, coring machine, vacuum excavator trucks, pressure washers, excavators, jack hammers, compressors, generators, hot works equipment, hand tools.

What to expect:

  • Some noise associated with the above activities.
  • Use of mitigation measures to reduce noise where possible, including use of noise blankets.
  • Pedestrian and lane detours directed by traffic controllers.
  • Stop-and-go pedestrian access

Temporary stop-and-go pedestrian access may be required on the eastern and western footpaths on Albert Street. This is required to allow the site team to set up temporary fencing and hoarding around the Area 1 work area.

Please follow the direction of traffic controllers.
