Elastic Pad

Definición: A rubber or synthetic elastomer layer between rail and sleeper (or baseplate) that provides shock absorption, reduces vibration transmission, and allows controlled movement. Pads improve ride quality and reduce noise.

Ejemplo: Polyurethane pads provide 3-5mm deflection under train load
