The first roof arch of Riga Central Station adds to Riga’s skyline!

 

Rail Baltica Riga Central Station construction site was launched at the end of November 2020. The third year of construction comes to a close with the completion of the first station arch, visually marking the station’s highest point at almost 30 metres.

Major construction work on the roof structure continues. The roof structure of the station building will be composed of thousands of steel tubes, each one a three-dimensional filler grid interconnected by steel nodules. The elements are unique because of their size and specific location.
