Busy weekend for the Sydney Trains Bridge team at Awaba. Successfully completed 2 Bridge Renewals, 1.1km of Track Lift, Rail Adjustments and OHW Adjustments. This totals 3 Bridges replaced at Awaba over 2 weekend closedowns within 4 months! There were 100 bridge precast elements removed and 111 new precast components installed as part of the project.

Challenged by the limited access to the bridges with only narrow access paths available due to environmentally sensitive creeks and vegetation in the works area.  The team also battled through the thunderstorm wet weather to complete all Civil, Track and Electrical scope without incidents and on programme, a massive undertaking given the time pressure.

This was a highly complex project delivered by an outstanding team – special thanks to JOEL KENNEDY, Paul Mittiga, Gregory Laverack, Eddy Z. for helping make this a reality!
