A Major Milestone for Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport Line
The first tracks have been laid for the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport line, marking a significant achievement in the 23-kilometre alignment that will connect to the new airport.
This milestone was reached just north of the new rail bridge over the future M12 Motorway, initiating track installation progress toward the airport precinct.

Broader Progress
Track installation is running in parallel with the construction of stations and supporting infrastructure along the entire metro alignment.
Contractors and partners involved include Webuild, RATP Dev, Siemens, and the Plenary Group.
