Jump form system and main station building progress (Lot 1).

Construction of the Albert Street main station entrance (Lot 1) remains ongoing below and above the ground surface.

Over the last fortnight, the jump form system which is constructing the station walls, vertically ‘jumped’, increasing the height of the system approximately 3 metres.

As part of constructing the main entrance station walls, large concrete pours will be carried out during the day and night. When conducting large pours, a partial lane closure involving temporary stop-and-go traffic arrangements may be required on Mary Street from early morning until late at night.

Please be advised, access to neighbouring properties (including Mantra on Mary) will be maintained under the direction of traffic control officers.

Following the completion of concrete pours, concrete preparation using high water pressure (green cutting) may be required with the use of a vacuum truck to remove slurry from site.

Other ongoing activities at the Lot 1 site include but are not limited to; installation of temporary scaffolding, steelfixing, steel and formwork shutters to reinforce the structure, operating cranage and vehicle movement, demobolising machinery and equipment, and truck deliveries via Mary, Elizabeth and Charlotte streets.
