Deep beneath Sydney’s CBD, the largest railway cavern in Australia is becoming a reality.

Located on the Sydney Metro West line, Hunter Street Station is being excavated using roadheaders.

The station cavern measures:

28 metres wide

20 metres high

Excavation Milestone

Excavation is now 90% complete.

Full excavation is expected to finish early this year.
