Belgian railway and infrastructure specialists, Mobix – Infrastructure for Good, has used #KLP Hybrid Polymer Sleepers during the complete renovation of the Noordlandbrug at Zandvliet, Belgium. According to a spokesperson, “Installation of the KLP sleepers was very easy. We installed the sleeper by using a mini excavator with a coping clamp to put them in place and this went very smoothly. The pre-drilled holes also overlap perfectly with the holes in the new L-irons.”
#KLP Hybrid Polymer Sleepers are ideal for girder bridges due to their excellent damping characteristics and optimum bending stiffness combined with relatively low weight. For the Noordlandbrug project, Lankhorst milled each individual sleeper to the correct height in the bridge construction to even out any deviations in the bridge girders.
