STAGE 2 UPDATE | Construction on Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2 will commence next year, with the contract awarded to deliver the first phase of the project.

John Holland Pty Ltd will deliver the first 1.3kms of the new light rail alignment, including a 320m public and active transport bridge connecting Melrose Park and Wentworth Point.

This marks the first major bridge crossing the Parramatta River in nearly 40 years, improving connectivity and enhancing transport infrastructure.

Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2 will connect to Stage 1 and the Parramatta CBD to Sydney Olympic Park via Camellia, Rydalmere, Ermington, Melrose Park, and Wentworth Point with 14 stops over a new 10-kilometre two-way track.
