Exciting Progress at Abergavenny Train Station!
This past weekend, the Centregreat Rail team marked a significant milestone in collaboration with Network Rail’s Access for All (AFA) scheme at Abergavenny Train Station. Despite the challenges posed by persistent rain, a dedicated crew successfully began installing the main stairs, span, and lift shaft structure for what promises to be a transformative project for the community.
Abergavenny is set to be home to Wales’ first Beacon type AFA project. The station’s new ‘Beacon’ bridge, a design marvel with its glass-enclosed lifts and footbridge, will provide a fully covered, step-free access across the station.
This weekend’s work was the first of three planned abnormal blockades, with two more scheduled over the upcoming weekends. Centregreat Rail team ability to deliver on schedule, without issues, underscores our team’s expertise and commitment to excellence.
