The Sydney Metro – Pyrmont Station site experienced major changes throughout 2024, with significant progress made both above and below ground.

Two acoustic sheds are now fully installed

Excavation of the East and West shafts is well underway
Cavern Excavation in Full Swing

Three roadheaders — Liliana, Savannah, and Bella — are actively carving out the station cavern

Once complete, the cavern will measure:

24 metres wide

18 metres high

A Personal Touch to Progress
🧐 Fun fact: The roadheaders have been named after the daughters of three team members — bringing a personal and human touch to a massive infrastructure project.
